Final Lost Blog from April
I'm just glad that things are working out and that I was able to recover some of the lost data.
School for the month of April has been a challenge with managing everything and maintaining my standard of excellence for all of my classes, with the final push for the end of the year and finals. I've continued to push back a project or two until the deadline and then be forced to finish it the night before and due to this I've received a few lack luster grades.
While I try to keep my procrastination to a minimum it really seems to be something I do far more this semester then ever before in college, and I think its part due to pledging and part just there seems to be a lot more things to do on week night then last semester.
I just hope that I'm able to go into the final month of May and finish off my Junior year the way it started. End with above a 3.0 and head home for the summer.
See you all in May
3.1 and Wrath
While mages saw yet more nerfs across the board and Inscription is becoming a worthless profession I still find myself holding on to it due to the fact of getting Server First in the trade skill, seems a bit rough to toss it aside after getting that achievement.
"3.1 is supposed to be the huge balance patch to fix all, and while it's promising, it's looking to be no different than any other patch in which 2-3 classes from the middle ground rise up to be overpowered or dominate the top; initially at least. However, I don't think I've ever seen a patch so huge in terms of balance changes, and decent ones at that. Blizzard seems to be responding to issues that plagued season 5, and even if it took a long time, they're still doing something to at least bring the game back to a level that isn't nearly as mediocre as before. You can't help but to be happy at that, even when **** is going to be laggy and unstable for a week just like every patch."

Broken Hardware
The month of April has been a busy month for me in not only school life but also fraternity life. This month we had our PD up at Berkeley and with the theme "Boats and Hoe’s” it was quite fun though I spent most of my time making sure that everything going well and insuring that other people had a good time, I mean its a fair trade for one person to have an average time if it allows fifty others to have a great night, a small sacrifice. I also was awarded "Super Pledge" and received my paddle from my big brother Jordan. That about wraps up PD but there was plenty more that occurred these months don’t worry.
Also this month we had our wonderful imitation, I'm now a full brother of Kappa Sigma Fraternity even though from time to time the label JI gets tossed around, but I believe its just an on going label that’s gotten tossed down year to year though it holds no real negative connotation. It feels fantastic to have the burden of pledging off my shoulders and able to focus on all of the class work that I had put off the whole semester. While I still am managing mostly A's and B's a grade or two has slipped due to this, but I'm working on that recovery.
Our philanthropic event went off to a huge success and also gave me footage for my video that I'm planning on doing. Beauty Bowl raised over $1400 for the wonderful ladies of Alpha Phi and the society they wish to give the money to.
That’s about all I have for now, god I love and hate computers from time to time, I guess its all about learning to find that happy medium.

Spring Break
Spring Break was an amazing time to go home and catch up with everyone from SoCal again. I got to see the usual crew and see how they were doing and what all they have done in my absence. Over break we celebrated Ryan's 23ed birthday, went to Vegas with my friends Lulu and Zan, and mourned the loss of a great friend Sandeep.
Ryan's birthday was the weekend after we returned home, was a coming together of old friends and just great to see everyone, and find out how everyone was doing. Aside from all most getting in a fight with his girlfriends brother while intoxicated it evening went quite well and I for the most part was able to catch up with all those who I left behind back in SoCal.
Vegas was fantastic, stayed in master suites in the Paris and gambled and drank like all college kids should do in Vegas. On Tuesday Zan, Frado, Lulu, and I headed out in the E55 to make the trip to Vegas. This was my first trip back to Vegas since I was 21 and all I have to say is that it was an amazing experience. While losing money was no fun for the total drink / gambling losses coming down to a $70 that’s a number I can afford. I could not of asked to go with better people.
Finally the most tragic event over the break was the death of a good high school friend Sandeep, you will truly be missed bud and I wish you the best where ever you are now. May you rest in peace.
Another Spring Break down means I'm just that much closer to graduation, I can only hope that my next one is as eventful as this one minus the death of a loved on.
Sandeep
Apparently, he had been suffering from some sort of illness over the last few months and was in and out of the hospital. He died in his sleep at his home in Chicago, IL.
At this time, his family has not given much information on his death but when I find out, I'll let everyone know I can.
All I know is that this is a goddamn tragedy. Sandeep was incredibly smart and gifted. He was going to be a doctor.
The fact that I don't know what happened or when he died makes me feel cheated...like none of it is real. I'm expecting the crazy little bastard to pop out of the other room and start cussing me out...good times...
You'll be missed my friend. Rest in peace

Shamrock Showcase
The event is hosted to raise money to prevent child abuse in America, and more then expected turned out to the event on Thursday. Filling the auditorium by DBH on campus, Greeks and non-Greeks alike came together under one roof to show our support for Kappa Delta's philanthropy, and help raise awareness of this plague that sweeps our nation.

Just Another Week
This semester will differently be a trial for me, to make sure that I can continue to keep up with my work along with avoiding the neglect that comes with dedication to a lot of my time to different areas involved with school.
I'm also working on securing an internship for this summer, and received a call back from Nordstrom application so will be hearing back more in the coming weeks about whats happening with that. I can only hope that I'm accepted because that would allow me to work from Sunny Southern California rather then the Silicon Valley during the summer.
That's all for now have a great weekend

There and Back Again, With Still No Help
After going through all the work and finally finding out how to get my WST scores that I was told to take prior to attending in the Fall of 2008, were not valid because I took them at Cal State Long Beach and was not attending class there. So thank you transfer information day you guys are 100% worthless and just toss those who attend your university out on the ground with little help or guidance, and the guidance that you do provide is inaccurate and wrong, what the hell is wrong with a system like that?
So now I find out that I need to take ANOTHER writing skills test in April because god forbid the score I received while taking it at CSULB doesnt reflect my actual knowledge, and have to shell out another $25 for said test. So thats a grand total of $100 that will be spent on testing with only $25 of it actually counting, all of thats on top of the hours that I spent driving to and from and taking the god damn test.
If any of these individuals worked for me in MY company I would sure as hell kicked them out the door a long time ago for providing false information to potential clients. So to you CSU system learn what the fuck you are actually doing, before you go off and tell others.
New Semester, New Activities, New Responsibility.
With the weekend came the end of dry RUSH for Kappa Sigma, and lead off to the kick off event of the fall, steak dinner. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet everyone in my pledge class, and once again see most of the members from the house. Coming together I could not of asked for a better pledge class, with members a diverse as their background with majors from Mechanical Engineering to Undeclared to Public Relations, it really reflects who we are as a group.
Steak dinner came and went and I was able to finish all my class work and required readings and even get a head start on some papers that are up and coming. For the first week my I received all copies of my NY Times and none were stolen so that was a huge plus, so I can't say that anything truly bad is happening in my life thus far.
The weekend was relaxed and laid back, and involved going to the gym, doing laundry, watching movies, and just hanging out. I had to pick up my roommate from the Airport but that just involved driving in a circle for about thirty minutes until he was out and had all of his luggage.
On the gaming side of life, with the release of 3.0.9 both the mage class and rogue class took huge hits across the board, no longer able to "gib" someone in a blanket counterspell or good blind, looks like frost mages will be coming back as the dominate spec for PVP mages. The hits the Mutilate were minor for the rogues but still hurt both 2's and 3's comps for mages and rogues, nerfing both RMP and RM. While arcane was the bad mages fail safe, it allowed for counters vs. the deathknight, ret, and hunter classes where standing still can mean death.
We will see how things play out, all I've done recently are BG's and have not played with my partner since the changes rolled across the board, so we will have to wait and see if we can still manage our top tier preformance or if we will be knocked to the ground by pally/dk teams.

Challenges and Opportunities for Bloggers
While many people simply use blogs as an online diary, it also allows the flow of information to the masses or at least those who view members blogs. Its a great way to stay connected to members of the blogging community and see what is happening in peoples lives, or whats going on around the world.
I feel that blogs are a great way to reach or find people who you might have a common intrest with, and then communicate upon the topic and get a better understanding of how others view the same world around you.
Throughout the semester I will be updating the occurrences of my life, including school, fraternity business (Kappa Sigma), and any extra curricular events I'm apart of.
